The Journey

Starting from a moment when enjoying coffee in Sembalun, Sumbawa, then there was an idea to present Indonesian coffee beans as a specialty coffee in Esperto Coffee Products’. Our exceptionally talented head roaster, Mr. Franky Angkawijaya, believes that the quality of Indonesian coffee has high grade than the quality of coffee from other countries. Since 2012, Mr. Franky Angkawijaya has worked tirelessly to source not only the finest but also the most delicious beans from Indonesia, he conducts research into each coffee bean producing area before determining whether coffee in the area is suitable for sale. After getting the area that fits the criteria, He embraces every coffee farmer in the area with equipment and guidance. Alternatively, Esperto can curate a single origin that showcases the individuality of a beans growth and care at the source.

Handpick Process

We focus on sourcing coffee with distinctive character from farmers dedicated to producing outstanding crops. We respect the coffee farming community and the important role they play in our industry. Where possible we source from farms, processors where we have established a direct relationship, and only work with reputable partners who share our dedication to coffee quality and support ethical practices at origin.

Great coffee doesn’t just happen. You have to go to origin to source it. With our continued support of the farming communities, we are ensuring their ability to continually produce an amazing coffee. By pursuing ethically sourced and direct trade coffee, we are enabling the farmer to achieve a fair price for their product, while ensuring ESPERTO has the highest quality coffee available.

BRINGING KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PATIENCE TO ROASTERY PROCESS

After every batch has been quality tested, the red beans that began their journey. What we think is envision the end product and work backwards to cover every element. Taste is such an integral part of our product and we’re passionate about it. We use roasting technology to carefully monitor the roast curve, development time and total roast time. By controlling these factors and understanding the raw material we can achieve varied degrees of flavor and profiles to bring out the best characteristics of every coffee we roast. We represent the delicateness and personalized flavours, notes and aromas that are unique to each variety, processing method and origin.

PACKAGING THE BEST QUALITY PRODUCT

No matter how much care we put into sourcing, producing and roasting, poor packaging and storage can undo it all. We take great pride in preserving coffee freshness by quickly packing each roast into oxygen-free triple-poly bags with premium one-way valves. Each roast is left to rest in a controlled environment to ensure it’s at its absolute best when it arrives in the hands of our trusted Baristas and Customers.
